Edmondson Heights, a covenant controlled community, is a townhouse community established and recorded among the Land Records of Baltimore County, built in the mid-1950s by Phillip Macht/Welch Construction Company. Shortly afterwards, the Edmondson Heights Elementary School was added and the park area established then improved. The Macht Company invited interested new homeowners to form a committee, hence, Edmondson Heights Civic Association, Inc., to help see that structural claims were satisfied by building contractors, and to deal with State and County departments, such as, but not limited to, permits, water, sewer, roadway, police, fire department, health, education, parks and recreation and to manage all Covenants that each home owner signs at settlement. The Edmondson Heights Civic Association, Inc. (EHCA, Inc.) is the voice of over 1100 homeowners in Edmondson Heights. The officers and Board of Governors are all volunteers and elected each year.  The projects and activities reflect the interests and visions of the homeowners.

The Association has since broadened its base. Some of the Associations current activities are publishing a newsletter, supporting local sports and recreational programs, sponsoring Flea Markets, Community Clean Up, A Code Enforcement program, A Covenant Enforcement program (a copy of the current Covenant Guidelines is found elsewhere on this website) and Citizens On Patrol.

The General membership meetings are usually held on the first Tuesday of each month with the exception of July and August or any time school is closed such as on Election Day.  Effective as of July 01, 2005, mandatory dues is $20 per year, and entitle you to vote on all community concerns at the General Meetings and run for office. The dues also help support the community newsletters, the community clean-up days and other acivities within our community.

If you have any questions or would like further information about the organization, the neighborhood, or the Covenants please look further in this web site or email us at ehcaonline.org
